Konishi has a nice voice range with his voice acting, and his role for America is a little different from many of his past roles. He certainly raises a few octaves for America's voice than any voice he used for his roles as Ren or Hagi.

His first times voicing America in the first ~Prologue~ drama CD isn't quite high pitched, though he speaks just a quickly then when you hear him in the much later post-anime, Drama CD Vol.2. He gives America even more of an immaturity with giving him such a higher-pitched voice for almost all of this lines, but you find it quickly works for America and his bright personality and hyperactivity (much as Japan received a slightly deeper voice from the first drama CD into the anime).

Thankfully, Konishi can also give America more serious voice during his most "dark" strips, America's Cleaning Out The Storage. America is able to slow down and we can see his actually does mull over a sad past and isn't as thoughtless 24/7 as our first impressions seem to be.
